The DVD/CD drive may fail to read or write discs due to scratches on the disc or errors of the device driver.
Also, if the DVD/CD is left unused for a long time, foreign substances such as dust may accumulate on it, which may interfere with disc reading.
If the disc tray does not open even after reinstalling device driver or restarting Windows, a service inspection may be necessary.
Causes and Symptoms

Check for scratches and dust on the DVD/CD
Remove dust and other foreign substances on the playing surface of the DVD/CD using a soft cloth.
※ If scratches are severe, it is advised to replace the DVD/CD.
Ejecting the DVD/CD using file explorer
If it is due to a temporary Windows error: Go to My PC(file explorer) → Right click on DVD/CD Drive → Click Eject to open the disc tray.
In device manager, delete the DVD/CD driver and restart Windows.
Locate the [Start] button on the task bar and right click it to run [Device Manager].
Select [DVD/CD-ROM Drive] → Right click on [HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GP60NB50] → Select [Uninstall Device] → Restart Windows.
To restart Windows, right click on [Start], select [Shut Down or Sign Out] and then [Restart].
Manually opening the DVD/CD-ROM tray
Insert a paper clip or needle into the manual release hole of the DVD/CD-ROM to open the tray.
Removing foreign substances from the DVD/CD-ROM
Open the tray of the DVD/CD-ROM and gently clean the ROM using a cotton swab.
