In firmware update 04.41.35 LG redesigned the Home Screen layout to provide better content recommendations and improved navigation. Following this update, the LG home screen will automatically launch on the startup of your LG TV. If you prefer, this auto-launch feature can be turned off.

LG is always trying to provide the best user experience for Smart TV users. By updating the design of Home Screen, LG can provide better content and service recommendations and reduce the complexity of the screen for improved navigation.
You can change the home screen design in the Settings menu.
Settings > General > Home Settings > Home Style > Updated Home / Basic Home.
You can disable Home Screen auto-launch in the Settings menu.
Settings > General > Home Settings > Home Auto Launch > On/Off.
- Turn on QuickStart+ then try to disable & test again
- Power the TV off and unplug it
- Power off the router and unplug it
- Wait at least 2 minutes and power all devices back on
- Try to disable Home auto-launch and test again
You can turn off the advertisement in the Settings menu.

Home > Press Down > Home Dashboard shelf will appear.The initial launching of LG Recommendations will take the longest. It may take up to 20 seconds for the TV to receive the recommended data. This will vary depending on the home network speed. The loading speeds will become faster after each use as the previous recommendations are cached to the TV.

In the case the LG Recommendation contents does not load within 30 seconds a refresh icon will appear. Please try loading again by pressing the refresh button.
