It is normal for the temperature display to read 5°F – 10°F cooler than the actual temperature inside of the refrigerator or freezer compartments. To help better maintain the desired temperature, ensure the doors are closed properly, the compartments are not overloaded, and the air vents are not being blocked.
If your refrigerator is not cooling at all, please visit our LG Refrigerator - Not Cooling Properly article.
Try This
➜Do NOT Overload the Compartment
If too much food is stored or if the cooling air outlet is blocked by food, refrigerator may be weakened due to a failure in cooling air circulation.
To ensure optimal air circulation, it is recommended to fill up to 60% of the refrigerator space with food.
➜Unblock Air Vents
Ensure the cooling air vents inside the refrigerator are not blocked by food items.
➜Confirm the Doors are Closed Properly
If the doors are not closed tightly, warm air can get inside weakening cooling performance.
➜Confirm the doors are closed properly
Do not let stored food get caught in the door and make sure to close the door tightly.
If the door is not closed completely, warm air from outside may flow in and the food may thaw or melt.
