LG Washer - Water Left in Dispenser

  • Troubleshooting

At a Glance

It is normal for some residual water to remain in your washing machine dispenser tray after each wash. Detergent can gradually build up in the detergent tray and its attachments over time. If these are not cleaned regularly, the water and additives will not dispense fully, and water will remain in the compartments.

Try This

  1. Water in the detergent dispenser after a cycle

➔ Pull out the detergent dispenser, reassemble it, and press tightly to refit it.

If you do not assemble the detergent dispenser tightly, water may get into the detergent dispenser during the washing process.

    Level the unit

Check that the washing machine is level. If the unit is not level more water may be left in the dispenser than normal.

    Dilute Softener

Be sure to mix softener with 50% water and 5% softener so it will dispense without clogging the siphon hole in the dispenser.

    • Use a soft cloth or brush to clean and remove any residue.
    • Do not use soap when cleaning the drawer and inserts.

5Wipe off any moisture with a dry towel or cloth after cleaning.

6To clean the drawer opening, use a small, non-metal brush to clean the recesses. Remove all residue from the upper and lower parts of the recesses.

7Return the inserts to the proper compartments and replace the drawer.

    • Set the drawer into the opening at an angle, then lower it and slide it into place.
