Operation Cell Phones Last Updated 08/24/2015

We are pleased to announce that the Android Jellybean upgrade (software version LS970ZVB) for the LG Optimus G is now available. The upgrade includes a number of enhancements from native Google ICS OS and various user interface improvements from LG such as:

  • Google Now gives you just the right information at just the right time. Open from the home screen or tap and hold on the menu button to get commute traffic before work, popular nearby places, your favorite team's current score, and more. When in Google Now, say "Google" to activate voice commands; i.e. "Send a message to Liz, what time should we meet up?"
  • Notifications can be expanded to give more information. Using two fingers, pinch to open a notification such as a Gmail to view new email, or Music to get more controls.
  • AccuWeather weather widget has been added.
  • Tasks app and widget now helps you better organize your daily tasks.

Note: Actual network speeds depend on network availability, coverage levels, tasks, file characteristics, applications and other factors. Performance may be impacted by transmission limitations, terrain, in-building/in-vehicle use and capacity constraints.

  1. From the Home Screen, tap Apps > Settings > scroll down and tap About phone

  2. Tap Software information to view the current software version.

Copy personal folders to your PC, i.e. DCIM (photos, videos), Downloads, Music, etc.

You may also use LG Backup or download a third party backup solution using the Play store on your device.
