The only draw back we have found is the sound quality. But that's not a big issue. All of our tv's are LG and they seem to last a long time. My son has purchased 2 different brand tv's in the time we've had this one and has decided he will be going with LG from now on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Short Shelf Life - Buyer Beware! Folks, I purchased the above TV and it completely died two weeks after its one year warranty. In researching the various ways to have this fixed, I was alarmed by the sheer number of people who were having the same issue! (Coincidentally, I purchased an LG Smart DVD (model BP540) at the same time and it broke shortly after the TV.) In looking at reviews, the number of problems around the one-year mark is positively staggering. If you are considering purchasing ANY LG product, please seriously consider an extended warranty.

I have a receiver that my room speakers are hooked to. How can inconnect this tv to my receiver so that when the tv is on the sound goes to the those speakers ?

We appreciate your interest in this television. Connect the OPTICAL Digital Audio Out port of this TV to the Receiver system in order to provide the TV audio to your system. Once connected, set the Audio Output setting to EXTERNAL SPEAKERS.

I installed a sound plate under the TV and it has an optical connection to the TV. The sound from the TV tuner does not come thought the sound plate but the sound from HDMI sources do and sound fine. Will a software update help this problem?

It is suggested to check your TV to see if your set matches the currently version 03.24.13 or better. Is there a fuse that can be replaced if i get no power to the tv

How do I 'zoom' in the screen image?

Can I use a Easel type stand

The TV has a Red colored oval like bump at the center bottom . Can I balance the TV on the " oval node" when placed in a easel stand. Will it affect the audio if the TV stands on the bottom not in the base stand? It is the Arhaus CATLIN MEDIA STAND SKU: 40CATMSTND2

Due to the size, balance, and delicacy of the stand, it is required that this TV be placed either on its original base stand, anchored to the wall, or attached to a wall mounting bracket.

Why does my aspect ratio keep switching automatically.

While i'm watching tv my aspect ratio will randomly switch from just scan back to 16:9. this wouldn't be a problem if 16:9 didn't cut off the video.
