I want to purchase this TV as small quantities are currently being shipped but I hesitate for 3 reasons, they are below:

1) a dual core processor versus the more common and more powerful (in newer sets) quad core processor 2) Web OS versus your more advanced Web OS2 3) I can't find anything in regards to HDR for this set. Although I am anxious to buy this TV NOW, paying nearly $25,000 for this TV and not getting the latest and greatest in these 3 areas tells me that maybe I should wait. What are your comments to address my points/concerns? Will there be a model with these improvements (noted above) in 2015? If I buy this TV now, how future proof in terms of 4k standards will this TV be? Thanks in advance, Steve

All 2016 LG OLEDs are set up to decode both 10 bit HDR and 12 bit Dolby Vision signals. LG OLED sets are as "future-proof" as possible. See -

OLED max cd/m2?

Of all the OLED's you produce, which has the highest candelas per meter squared, or "nits", of brightness?
Asked by: cjplay
Regrettably, there aren't any Photometric measurement units listed for the LG 77" Class (76.7" Diagonal) 4K UHD Smart 3D Curved OLED TV w/ webOS™, Model # 77EG9700 nor any of the other OLEDs that we make. This may be partly due to a paradigm shift in the way we think about lighting and in the manner in which it is used in OLEDS. Light in OLEDs is generated naturally as areas of uniform soft emission rather than piercing points or tubes of light. You can contact our Customer Information Center at (800) 243-0000 and see if a product specialist has the engineering notes that indicate what, if any, Photometric measurement units they may have on the OLEDS...^IFV

I have been waiting for months for your 77inch OLED TV. When will it be out?

Asked by: EagerViewer
Hello EagerViewer. Regrettably, we do not have any official dates on when the LG 77" Class (76.7" Diagonal) UHD 4K Smart 3D Curved OLED TV w/ webOS™, Model # 77EG9700 will be released. We appreciate you waiting patiently for this TV. Typically, after the prototypes for these units have been showcased at CES, production on the TVs begins after that and you generally see entry level units populating stores in towards the end of the first quarter. In most cases, but not necessarily for this model, the higher tiered units come out around Q3. You can follow official updates on release dates when they become available at^IFV

Does WebOS Support Video Streaming Websites?

Does WebOS support any arbitrary video streaming website? In particular I want to know if I can watch content from the Berlin Philharmonic's Digital Concert Hall website as well as Metropolitan Opera's Met HD On Demand website? Do the 65" and 77" OLED UHD sets implement HDMI return channel to send the sound from channels being watched on WebOS back to my AV Receiver?
Asked by: JDXX
there is an audio digital optical output to send to your r/v receiver in the rear of the unit.

Quad Core vs 10 Core

the new 77" flexible 4k oled has a 10 Core processor. the 9700 has a Quad Core. What are the differences here? does it affect picture quality in any way or is it just in WebOS operations?
