Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2nd time is not pumping clothes take 2 long to dry Is the secontd time I buy the same machine, shame on me, it keeps breaking, I have no idea what is wrong with the pump IT DOESNT DRY CLOTHES RIGHT AT ALL IT TAKES ME 8 HOURS SOMETIMES TO DRY SIMPLE CLOTHING I replaced it twice. LG is not responsible for the parts after a while, very sad about this article, my income is limited & I cant buy it every two years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should have done this so long ago I live in a loft with a closet for the washer and dryer; I had a stackable model. Great, but no real room to fold or anything else. Very crowded. AND the lint. In spite of having the dryer vented, the closet got pretty dusty. Now I have this unit. It's great. First the three downsides: The wash/dry cycle ranges from four hours to six, yes, six, hours. And some of my canvas work pants come out wrinkled. The rest of the cotton stuff comes out okay. Lastly, some of the cycle is a little loud. The upsides: Put the laundry in, start it, and go to bed, or work, or out. Come home, the laundry is DONE. No swapping machines. And DRY; like hot dry if you get the laundry out right away. No lint filter. AND absolutely dust free. Compact, yet it cleans just about as much as my old units.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small but powerful We named our washer/dryer combo "Wally" which is pretty indicative that we like him a lot, except for the cat. There's plenty of cycle choices and we love how soft the laundry comes out, even without softener. The drying cycle and cool down do take a bit longer than we like, but that's minor. However, it would be nice to have an approximate time cool down will take (so we can inform the cat). We also hooked him up so he could drain into a laundry tub with a hair catcher instead of directly into a drain. This has worked extremely well as we can avoid having a lot of gunk plugging the pipes and instead clean out the hair catcher into the trash can. I am amazed how much he pulls off out laundry and spits out into the tub - although I imagine a lot of it is cat hair which is why the cat doesn't like him.

Can you confirm the replacement part # for the water pump for this particular model. I looked through the manual but, did not find any reference to parts numbers.

At what height do you recamend installing a washer box?

Asked by: Dog31
We appreciate your interest in this washing machine. It is uncertain to what is being referred as a “washer box”. If this would be the box containing the water valve and drain pipe, then the total height of the drain hose should never exceed 96” or 7 feet high. We might suggest a location of roughly 4 1/2 to 5 feet high.

We have this washer dryer combo and the clothes never get dry even if we just put some socks in to dry? What do you think that might be

Asked by: Paco Renee
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this washing machine combination unit. According to the information on page 22 of the owner’s manual, the capacity of the machine for washing clothes is twice as much as when drying them. If the machine is to be used to dry a load, then the wash load must be reduced by half for effective drying performance. If this does not resolve the matter, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

After one year of no problems or any changes this machine has been tripping the fuse during the dryer cycle a few times a week. Any solutions or reason? Thanks

Asked by: ChrisL24
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this washing machine. Be certain that the load size is reduced during the DRY cycle, so as to prevent an overload of the drying system. It is also recommended to check the breaker box for the possibility that the breaker may be weakening. If this does not resolve the matter, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

My machine works great when it's washing but as soon as it drains the water and gets ready to dry the machine starts shaking and moving out of its place. It does this even when it's empty. Does it have anything to do with the fact that it's placed tile?

When your LG 2.3 cu. ft. Large Capacity 24” Compact All-In-One Washer/Dryer Combo, Model # WM3477HS completes the wash cycle, it goes into the spin mode to try and extract as much water as possible from your laundry which saves you time and energy for drying. The machine spins at a very high rate, 1,400 RPM and if it is not leveled properly is will shake and vibrate excessively. You also want to check to make sure that the leveling feet have not been extended too high as that will also cause the machine to shake and vibrate excessively. The floor that the machine is install on should not have a slope of more than 1˚. Placing anti-skid pads on it will help with the 'walking' but that should not be an issue if the shaking and vibrations are eliminated...^IFV

Does this dryer dry on hot temperature or is it just a cool tumble dry?

Asked by: Nettys
The LG 2.3 cu. ft. Large Capacity 24” Compact All-In-One Washer/Dryer Combo, Model # WM3477HS uses a Ventless Condensing Drying System. Water is needed in order for this combo unit to perform the dry function. The water is used to condense the moisture in the air. The capacity of the machine for washing clothes is twice as much as when drying clothes. If the machine is to be used to dry a load, then the wash load must be reduced by half for effective drying performance. If a full load is washed, remove half the clothes prior to starting the dry cycle...^IFV

my newly installed washer/Dryer does not spin after washing, when the timer gets to 12 mins and rinsing has started, the timer stays 12 mins forever till you get tired and switch it off or simply complete the process by hand.
