The door of the washer should close easily. • To prevent an out-of-balance load, do not wash single items. Add one or two similar items to the load. Large, bulky items, such as a blanket, comforter, or bedspread should be washed individually."...^Ivan

Large Capacity 24” Compact All-In-One Washer/Dryer Combo, Model # WM3477HW would have varied depending on which online site was selling it or which retail outlet was selling it. Manufacturers will sometimes have a Suggested Retail Price showing on its page while it is a current unit, but retailers very rarely sell products at the suggested price. Unfortunately, once the unit is discontinued, that price is no longer shown and the 'Where to Buy' list doesn't show which retailers carried the unit. You might be able to do an online search to find retailers who might still have some leftover inventory even though the unit has been continued and they may have a pricing but it could be a reduced pricing to clear inventory...^IFV

The unit doesn't have a traditional lint filter, however, lint and other objects may accumulate and clog the drain pump filter. If the washer fails to drain properly, unplug the washer and allow the water to cool, if necessary, before proceeding. More information can be found on pgs. 27-28 of the owner's manual.

Could someone from LG respond to Handyman Don's comment? I am having drying issues and I've tried all of the LG trouble shooting (e.g., reduce load, check filter, check water supply, etc.). After reviewing Amazon reviews and YouTube it seems that Handyman Don's advice is the consistent fix. If that is the case, why hasn't LG recalled the product - it seems like a design / engineering flaw if you have to unscrew the washer / dryer to clean out lint. At the very least, LG should make it easy for consumers to find the right fix.

We regret the trouble you have experienced with this washing machine combo unit. Check the drain filter trap, which is located behind the panel at the lower right of the cabinet. This is in place to keep large items out of the drain pump, but it can also get clogged with lint if it is not cleared out periodically. The DRY option is not a main function of this combo model. If you desire the DRY option as a main function, it is more efficient to use a single-function dryer model. Drying options are easily selected with the DRY dial. For most even drying, make sure all articles in the load are similar in material and thickness. The DRY option can be added to all cycles, EXCEPT for the Bulky/Large, Delicate and Hand Wash/Wool cycles.
