Needed Accessories Not Availanle
Have not installed this machine. The published dryer data indicated that it can be converted to side vent outlet. Although the dryer housing is set up for that conversion, LG does not offer the needed vent kit to make that conversion. Installation manuals give no instructions showing how to access the vent blower to fabricate a custom vent assembly. Doing my laundry elsewheee.

Very quiet

I purchased this from Home Depot and totally missed the instructions to remove the shipping bolts. I could not figure out the problem until I contacted LG and they gave me a step by step checklist to ascertain the problem. I am so grateful and I am enjoying it so much.

I use laundry tablets. Can I place them directly in the washer (tub)?

You have to follow the directions on the packaging on how to use the laundry tablets in a washing machine as directed by the manufacturer, but laundry tablets have to be placed in the tub before you load your clothes. They cannot be placed in the detergent dispenser. ^Jolly

Two things. First, it appears I can vent the dryer from the side. what size tube is used for this? Second: Unfortunately there's a long way from the dryer to my outside wall. How long can the tube be to be safe, and hard or flexible?
You will need to purchase the LG Side Venting Kit, Part # 3911EZ9131X which has the necessary components to change the vent location on the ENERGY STAR® Certified LG Single Unit Front Load LG WashTower™ with Center Control™ 4.5 cu. ft. Washer and 7.4 cu. ft. Electric Dryer, Model # WKE100HWA. You can only use 4 '' (10 cm) rigid, semi-rigid or flexible metal ductwork inside the dryer cabinet and for venting outside. The exhaust duct must be 4 '' (10 cm) in diameter with no obstructions and it should be kept as short as possible. Rigid, semi-rigid or flexible metal ducting is recommended for use between the dryer and the wall. All non-rigid metal transition duct must be UL-listed. The total length of flexible metal duct must not exceed 8 ft. (2.4 m). If your Wall Cap is a 4 ‘’ (10 cm) cap, the Maximum length of 4-inch diameter rigid metal duct without any 90° Elbows is 65 ft. (19.8 m), with one 90° elbow, it is 55 ft. (16.8 m), with two 90° elbows it is 47 ft. (14.3 m), with three 90° elbows it is 36 ft. (11.0 m), and with four 90° elbows, it is 28 ft. (8.5 m). I am trying to fit this unit into a small closet. I love that it can vent from either side. Does it only plumb through the rear and, if so, how much space is required for the plumbing?

Electric Dryer in White, Model #WKE100HWA.
