LG ELECTRONICS DEBUTS COLLECTION OF 4-DOOR REFRIGERATORS WITH NEW ‘CUSTOMCHILL’ FEATURE

New Flagship Models Provide Improved Organizational Features for Busy Families

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., July 24, 2014 Leading home appliance manufacturer LG Electronics has expanded its family of 4-Door French-Door refrigerators with three new models that incorporate the innovative new CustomChill™ drawer, providing customizable storage with either extra refrigerator or soft freezer space.

LG’s newest 4-Door refrigerators – Door-in-Door™, super capacity and counter-depth models – all offer the versatile new CustomChill drawer, which provides a better way to organize and store family favorites. The drawer offers four temperature settings, each of which is best-suited to store a variety of food and beverage items, including meats and seafood, cold drinks, fresh produce, or chilled wine.  Adjustable dividers provide additional organization for easy access to food, offering the flexibility and convenience families love. With multiple French-Door refrigerators with CustomChill, all of which are ENERGY STAR® certified, consumers can select the model that best fits their lifestyle.

The first refrigerator (Model LMXS30776S) incorporates LG’s award-winning “door-within-a-door” feature that allows quick and easy access to favorite snacks and beverages without opening the entire refrigerator. With the simple push of a button on the right-hand door handle, the seal releases to access this compartment. LG created a new category of refrigerators with the introduction of this innovative feature which has become widely popular among consumers. Thanks to Door-in-Door with LG’s ColdSaver™ panel located on the interior of the compartment, accessing this feature without opening the entire refrigerator reduces cold air loss by up to 47 percent to help keep food fresher longer and conserve energy.*

The second refrigerator (Model LMXS30746) boasts an impressive 30 cubic feet of capacity, allowing users to store more groceries in a single trip.  For consumers seeking a built-in look, LG is offering a counter-depth model with CustomChill (Model LMXC24746). Its shallower depth ensures it stands flush with the countertop for a sleek look.

Additionally, LG’s Linear Compressor technology helps to ensure a more consistent temperature inside the refrigerator, resulting in increased energy savings.
