SAN DIEGO. - Oct. 27, 2003- LG Mobile Phones ranks highest in overall customer satisfaction among wireless cell phone manufacturers, consistently performing above the industry average across all five areas that impact carrier performance, especially with features and physical design, according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2003 U.S. Wireless Phone Evaluation StudySM released late last week.
The study went on to state that exceeding customer expectations substantially raises the possibility that subscribers will not only buy the same brand the next time they are in the market to replace their mobile phones, but also that they will upgrade to a higher-priced model.
The study also found that satisfaction with newer cell phones is significantly higher than older phones. Newer phones include many of the most popular features and cutting-edge technologies, including multi-color displays, polyphonic ringers and multimedia messaging capabilities such as camera phones that can include a voice message. These features are consistently included in all new LG Mobile Phones models.

The 2003 U.S. Wireless Phone Evaluation Study measures customer satisfaction among the eight largest wireless handset manufacturers and is based on responses from 24,359 households.
