Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Unit! So glad I bought this unit. Our AC unit went out in our upstairs and this unit has been a huge help in keeping it so cool in summer and warm in the winter. It's very powerful and works great!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the money I bought this ac unit about 6-7 months ago from the beginning I started having problems with it.. yes it cools properly but ever day that passes I have to drain the water more frequently.. I called lg and they said “take the tray out” what tray?! I doesn’t have a tray.. so I have to carry that big ac unit to my porch by myself and unplug it from the plug in the back and let the water train out.. and that has been my life for the past 5-6 months everyday I have to carry that darn thing outside.. in so unhappy with it because with that price I shouldn’t be having this problem.. I don’t understand why it has a little clear cord that goes to the window if no water ever pases thru there..

What is the diameter of the exhaust hose and is a 10 ft long hose available? .

Asked by: Richard Cranium
The length and diameter of the exhaust vent hose for the LG 14,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner Cooling & Heating, Model # LP1415SHR are specifically designed to the specifications of the portable air conditioner and the exhaust hose cannot be lengthened, modified or replaced with a longer hose as that would cause the unit to malfunction. The exhaust hose has a length of 48" and a diameter of 5". The oval-shaped diffuser at the end on the exhaust hose that attaches to the window vent panel has a diameter of 61/2"...^IFV

Leaving the vent in the window in the winter lets in too much cold air.  Can the heating function be run without the vent in the window?

Asked by: Bob Compono
Hello, the unit must be fully installed to function properly. ^AC

Why does the unit keep turning off and on from the control panel once u turn the unit on?

Asked by: Deity
Under normal operation, the exhaust fan cycles on and off with the compressor, and the circulation fan runs at the set speed. The energy saver mode helps reduce power consumption by automatically turning off the circulation fan as well as the exhaust fan when the compressor is off. The air conditioner will automatically cycle both fans on and off with the compressor as needed for cooling.
