What People Are Saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Downgrade compared to my LG G3 I bought this phone on Black Friday and it was the only flagship in my price range. I had sold my LG G3 and had expected this phone to be better than it. Unfortunately, it wasn't. The smaller battery gets hot and does not last as long, the display has a burning issue, and build quality is way poorer than my G3. There is somehow dust underneath my camera lens which speaks on how good it's on there and the screen likes to pop out of the body. The fast charge doesn't work sometimes and drains battery instead of charging. Would not recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from excellent performance I bought the g5 two months ago, and I really like it. It's still good in terms of performance, the camera is great. Will get 5 stars if Oreo is available for the g5 and the battery life too

It turns out that the phone is carrier locked by Sprint. I don't live in US and i don't know how to unlock it to make it work with my sim. Please help me solve this problem

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love my G5 up until Android 8 update. My phone is the 2nd one after the first refused to fully activate. This one runs circles around my old g3. I was excited when they released android 7 on it and never expected an android 8 release, but it arrived a few weeks ago. I love how it works, but noticed my battery life went from average, to losing a percentage every 30 minutes while plugged in to original LG cord. I turned off location, wifi and tethered it via usb thinking that would work on my thunderbolt ports. Same issue. Rebooting fixes it temporarily. Even when battery saver is on, it happens. clearing cache does no good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the Phone; Hate the Battery I've had this phone a little over 2 years now. I got a great deal on it when the G6 was released. I tend to be very brand loyal, consequently I have owned ONLY LG phones. LG phones get mixed reviews...people either love them or hate them. I bought this one because I waited too long to buy the G3. It wasn't rated as high as the G3 but higher than the G4 (which almost everyone seemed to hate). The salesperson at T-Mobile said that people who are heavy users or abusers won't like any phone while those that don't will ultimately find one they love. She was right. I fall into the latter category. I'm a moderate user and I don't abuse my electronics...so I LOVE my G5. I'd rate it 5 stars if I could get through an entire day without having to recharge it. It's definitely a battery hog. I'm a moderate user. I check my email, check in on twitter and instagram, send a few text messages, and check sports via the Bleacher Report app--that's about it. I can get through most days without ever making a phone call. Yet, even with it sitting idle most of the time, it will need to be charged before I leave the office at the end of the day. If it's any consolation I can honestly admit that the battery performs now almost as well as it did when it was new--2 years ago.
