How do you get the time off the dryer once it has started? Ex. I had one shirt in the dryer on air dry and only needed it to spin for 1 or 2 minutes. The "less time" button only goes to 10 min. Is there another way to shut off the time?
Asked by: RRRM
The 'Less Time' button on the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.3 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Electric Dryer with Sensor Dry Technology, Model # DLE7000W is the only way to reduce the drying time in 1-minute decrements when you use manual drying cycles such as Speed Dry, Air Dry, Freshen Up, and Time Dry...^Ivan

Is the flow sense feature just an indicator of does it stop the function of the dryer?
The duct pipe in our home is long and makes turns.
Asked by: DeeKae
The Flow Sense™ indicator for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.3 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Electric Dryer with Sensor Dry Technology, Model # DLE7000W is an innovative sensing system that automatically detects blockages and restrictions in dryer ductwork. It does not stop the function of the dryer, but to activate it for an installation test, the dryer should be cool before starting the test. If the dryer was warmed up during installation, run the AIR DRY cycle for a few minutes to reduce the interior temperature. Do not load anything in the drum for the test as it may affect the accuracy of the results. Then you would have to press and hold the POWER, Temp., and Wrinkle Care buttons until 'In' and a usage count alternate in the display. (The usage count indicates the number of cycles run with no load
during the last 5 cycles.) Press the Start/Pause button. The dryer will start the test, which will last about
2 minutes. The heat will be turned on and the temperatures in the drum will be measured and
displayed. A chime sounds when the test portion of the cycle is complete. During the test cycle, monitor the Flow Sense™ display on the control panel. If the Flow Sense™ LED is not turned on, when the cycle ends, the exhaust system is adequate. If the exhaust system is severely restricted, the Flow Sense™ LED will be turned on. Other problems may also be shown with error codes which you will find in the installation section on page 25 of your owner's manual for the dryer. At the end of the test cycle, 0 will display. The test cycle will end and the dryer will shut off automatically after a short delay. As advised on page 16 of your owner's manual for the dryer, the total length of flexible metal duct must not
exceed 8 ft. (2.4 m). If you are using a 4" (10.2cm) wall cap for long runs, the maximum length of 4-inch (10.2 cm) diameter rigid metal duct is 65 ft if you do not use any 90° elbows, 55 ft if you use one 90° elbow, 47 ft if you use 2 x 90° elbows, 36 ft if you use 3 x 90° elbows and 28 ft if you use 4 x 90°. Do
not use more than four 90° elbows elbows...^Ivan

What is the use of voltage on this dryer my wife bought a dryer we can’t use because the voltage on it is too high for our basic circuit breaker and I would have to pay for the whole house electricity to get redone to be able to dry.
Asked by: More info needed
You need to be aware that regardless of brand or manufacturer, ALL electric dryers have to be connected to 240V, unlike Gas Dryers which have to be connected to a standard 120V household circuit. You do not have to pay for the whole house's electrical circuitry to get redone. If the plug does not fit the outlet, you will need to have the correct outlet installed by a qualified technician. U.S. homes are usually 240 volts consisting of two 120 lines with a center neutral and a qualified electrician will know how to wire the outlet without you having to reconfigure the whole house's electrical ciruitry. The wiring and grounding for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.3 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Electric Dryer with Sensor Dry Technology, Model # DLE7000W must conform to the latest edition of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, and all applicable local regulations. The dryer has its own terminal block that must be connected to a separate 240 VAC, 60-Hertz, single-phase circuit, fused at 30 amperes. Depending on your local building codes, you can use a 30-amp, 240-volt 4-wire UL-listed power cord with #10 AWG-minimum copper conductor and closed-loop or forked terminals with upturned ends or a 30-amp, 240-volt 3-wire UL-listed power cord with #10 AWG-minimum copper conductor and closed-loop or forked terminals with upturned ends. A 3-wire connection is NOT permitted on new construction after January 1, 1996. If you are not sure which power cord to use, please check your local building codes or contact your local building inspector...^Ivan

Is the power cord included or must it be purchased separately?
Asked by: K Lee
Regardless of brand or manufacturer, power cords are not included with electric dryers because the electrical codes and outlets for these specific appliances vary to a high degree. There is no standard like there is for washers and refrigerators. An electric dryer can use a 3-prong or 4-prong cord. The power cords have to be purchased separately.
