What people are saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Closed Captions How do I get the CC to work? Special connection to my monitor/TV?
Date published: 2021-07-13
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Way too sensitive and glitchy I got one for Xmas and it seemed fine at first. Within the next few days, it froze many times just trying to simply power off. I waited, no exaggeration, 10 minutes and had to resort to unplugging it just to be able to turn it "back on", even though I never did get it to properly power off. Then also let's talk about the disk drive itself, it randomly pings discs off and wedges them between the closed tray, harming DVDs. I don't suggest this malfunctioning hardware to anyone.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does not playback Blu-ray We bought this model because I saw in the features “Yes” for BluRay/DVD playback. When we put a Blu-ray disc in, it does not read it.

Will this DVD player (DP132H) play a blu ray DVD?

Asked by: Charlotte Virginia
DVD, Blu-Ray DVD, Blu-Ray, 4k Blu-ray DVD, and 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray technologies are backward compatible, not forward compatible, meaning that each technology can play the formats that succeeded it. The LG DVD Player with USB Direct Recording, Model # DP132H is a DVD player that succeeded CDs so it can only play CDs and Standard DVDs. It cannot play Blu-ray DVDs, 4K Blu-ray DVDs or 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray DVDs...^Ivan

DP132H, audio CD, USB stick 32GB erased and formatted FAT32. Screen shows "USB" and "Audio ripping". Press "AUDIO" button on the remote, a few seconds later at the bottom of the screen "Unexpected error during the process!"

Asked by: Suzie Creamcheese
What type of USB stick are you using? As you noted, the LG DVD Player with USB Direct Recording, Model # DP132H supports USB devices with FAT16 or FAT32 formatting. However, a USB device that requires additional program installation when you have connected it to a computer, is not supported. If you use a USB extension cable, USB HUB, USB Multi-reader, or External HDD, the USB device may not be recognized, and some USB devices may not work with this unit...^Ivan

The LG DVD Player with USB Direct Recording, Model # DP132H supports USB devices with FAT16 or FAT32 formatting. There is no specified limit for the capacity of the flash drive that can be used, however, the maximum number of Files/Folders must be less than 600 (total number of files and folders). The unit does not have any inputs on it that you can connect an external device to so you can record audio from an external source.
