Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing projector!! Love it. Fits perfectly on my wall! 9/10. However in order to be 10/10 can you answer these questions?: 1) Where is Apple Airplay 2?? 2) Dolby Vision? 3) should I buy a projector screen as my wall isn’t perfectly white and it’s not uniformly flat- if so, any recommendations? Thx

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beautifully flawed Pre-ordered on Amazon before they removed the listing. It arrived today As you might expect, it's incredibly sensitive to any waves at all so your screen needs to be fixed or top dollar tabbed tension. The throw from the top of the projector to the screen is 7" - 7 1/4”. The colors really pop, even in daylight. The issue.... the projector doesn’t do 4K at 60hz. It only does 30hz. So it’s great if you want to watch a Blu-ray, dvd, tv, or maybe their built in apps. Let’s say you wanted to run an Xbox one S/X or hook up your computer? Well you can certainly run your computer and entertain yourself by watching your mouse drag all over the screen and the Xbox will literally just yell at you and tell you no. I could have bought a nicer screen but the 30hz B.S. is where I draw the line. This isn’t 2012, we’ve got 4K figured out these days. They need to do better. Also, the speaker kind of suck but a big improvement over years past. No base. Most people will hook up a surround anyways though.

Any suggestions about the projector screen brand and model. I went to different store they gave me different models. Now I’m confused...

Asked by: Danzhu
Hi Danzhu. Regrettably, we do not have any suggestions for which projector screen brand or model will best suit the LG HU85LA 4K UHD Laser Smart Home Theater CineBeam Projector because the trick is to match the screen to three things, your room where you will have the projector installed, what you watch, and when you watch. This projector has a 2,700 ANSI Lumens brightness that results in a gentle light, producing clear images in an indoor environment under ambient lighting conditions. It is geared for rooms that have dark walls and other surfaces with good lighting control. As a general rule of thumb, the darker the surfaces in your room the better. You can get rooms dark enough for casual viewing such as sports, most HDTV in general, but they will be too bright to really be ideal for viewing movies. You’ll have to decide if movie viewing will be reserved for when you can keep the room dark, as that would affect your screen decision. Again, you can combat ambient light with blackout curtains or shades. If you have one of the brighter types of rooms and are planning to watch a mix of general HDTV and movies, then you’ll want a screen that can “help out” with dealing with that ambient light. These types of screens are typically known as High-Contrast Gray Screens. Movie viewing will be best at night when you have full lighting control. Even with the right screen, if your room has a modest amount of ambient light (i.e. light leaking in around dark window shades), you may still need to project your films at night to get the best picture. f your room is more theater-like, with full lighting control, then you don’t need to worry so much about side ambient light. The exception to this statement comes in the form of theater lighting, such as low-light sconces on the side walls like you see in some movie theaters or ceiling floodlights. When choosing the right screen for your projector, your budget also comes into play, so you will want to have the experts qualify you on what will work best in your home environment...^IFV
