Rated 1 out of 5 by from Expensive pain in the neck I've owned this refrigerator over five years--five miserable years of ownership. The ice maker never made enough ice for our family. The paddle for the ice dispenser broke off within the first year of ownership. We lose things in the freezer that fall behind the basket or get so deep in the bottom, finding them is like an arctic exploration. Now at just over five years of ownership (all warranties expired) the ice maker has stopped working completely. Thinking replacing it with a less expensive side-by-side would be wiser than trying to fix it.

LG LFX31925ST 3 Door French Door Refrigerator - The bottom 6 buttons on the control panel (Alarm, Lock, Light, Water Filter, Ice Plus, Energy Saving) are unresponsive, but still light up. The buttons above, all work fine. Any ideas of how to fix?

The LG Super-Capacity 3 Door French Door Refrigerator with Smart Cooling Plus technology, Model # LFX31925ST has an Alarm button on it and a Control Lock button on it. Pressing and holding the Lock button for three seconds or more activates the lock function which disables every other button on the display. You can try pressing and holding this for about three seconds to see if that resolves the problem. Pressing and holding the Alarm and Lock button simultaneously for 3 seconds locks all the dispenser and all the control panel functions. Follow the same instructions to unlock and see if that resolves the problem. If neither works, the refrigerator may need a service repair. My icemaker stop producing ice, cleaned the coils, drip tray and fan. Discovered the freezer was defrosting also Rearranged products in the refer and the compressor kicked in. My question is, will the icemaker work after freezer reaches correct temp.

Hello, the icemaker should resume production so long as it was turned off and not left on. If the ice maker was left on it could have sustained damage from not being able to properly produce ice. ^AC

How do I access the water filter? I watched a YouTube video which instructed me to remove the lowest self unit on the left side door to reveal the water filter, but this model does not have a water filter there when I remove the self.

Hello,if you are leaving the refrigerator turned off for an extended period of time, remove all food and unplug the power cord. Make note to drain all water from the water line and clean the interior. Leave the door open to prevent fungi from growing in the refrigerator. Be sure to not lay the unit on its side and ensure it will not be stored were children could get inside. ^AC
