You should periodically clean your dishwasher filter to keep it operating at peak performance. Cleaning the filter helps prevent odors and possible drainage issues.

Try this


1. Remove the lower rack to access the filter

Fully open the dishwasher door and pull out the lower dishwasher to access the filter housing.

2. Remove the filter

Using the handle, turn the inner filter counter-clockwise to remove the inner filter and the stainless steel mesh.

NOTE

The inner filter and the stainless-steel filter will come out as once piece.

3. Remove the inner filter from the stainless-steel mesh

Empty out all large debris from the inner filter and wash it under running water with a soft brush or sponge.

4. Clean the filter

Fully open the dishwasher door and pull out the lower dishwasher to access the filter housing.

NOTE

Do not use steel wool or abrasive brushes as it can damage the filter.

5. Reassemble the filter and reinstall it in the dishwasher

Follow the steps in reverse to reinstall the filter. Ensure the filter is properly assembled and installed correctly.

NOTE

Improper assembly can lead to poor cleaning results.
