LG Robot Vacuum ThinQ Features and Settings

Now that your robot vacuum is connected to your WiFi, it’s time to learn more about what you can do with the LG ThinQ app. This article will walk you through the special features and settings of your smart appliance.

  1. From the ThinQ main page tap on the vacuum card.
  2. Once the card loads, tap the more button More button in the upper right hand corner to access the features and settings for your vacuum.

  • 1. Turbo – Toggle this feature on to provide the strongest suction.

    2. Smart Turbo – Auto detects and cleans corners, carpets, and dusty areas using powerful suction.

    3. Repeat – After cleaning is finished the robot vacuum changes direction and repeats the cleaning mode.

  • Here you can perform a diagnosis of your machine right from within the ThinQ app. This can be useful to help troubleshoot some issues you might have with your smart appliance. Depending on the product you may be able to perform Wi-Fi diagnosis or an audible diagnosis. Press get started and follow the instructions that appear in the app.


  • Here you can control general settings of your connected robot vacuum

    • Edit Nickname - Useful if you have two appliances. You can give each one a custom nickname to easily distinguish between them.
    • Location - You can assign an appliance to a specific room in your home. This can also be done by choosing manage rooms in the app settings.
    • Product Voice and Notification Sounds - Toggle the alert melody and voice notifications on or off.
    • Product voice language
    • Delete Product Data - Delete all data collected by the product such as maps and HomeGuard photos.
    • Change Network - Use this setting to connect to a different network.
    • Software Version - View the current installed software of your appliance.
    • Map Data Collection - Allow the collection of map and location data to improve future support services.
    • Delete Product - Select this option to remove the product from the ThinQ app.
