Magic Motion remote Controller not operating properly
If you happen to notice the buttons on the Magic Motion remote controller are intermittently unresponsive and/or the on-screen cursor is not moving smoothly, there could be wireless interference between the television and the controller.
Cause and Symptoms
The slightest occurrence you experience whereas the remote controller is unresponsive trying to communicate with the television or the on-screen cursor is moving irregularly or lagging, there are a few things you need to verify past the obvious :
- Dead batteries
- Inverse batteries (incorrectly inserted)
- Remove Controller not paired
- Check if anything such as tape has been placed over the receiver.
- Check if there is any obstacle between the product and the remote control.
- Replace the batteries with new fresh ones.
- Pressing and holding the
button will let you cancel and re-register Magic Remote at the same time.
Try this
Cannot control the TV with the remote control.
How to deregister the Magic Remote Control
Press the (BACK) and
(HOME) buttons at the same time, for five seconds, to unpair the Magic Remote with your TV.
There is also the possibility the wireless Network AP router could be interfering with the television’s wireless sensor :
The television’s wireless reception module is located on the lower left side of the panel, sometimes around the middle. As a preventive measure, should your network router be positioned close to the television, especially on the left hand side, try to move it more to the right.
This applies to all LG televisions featuring a Magic Motion Remote Controller at the exception of OLED models “W” series.
