Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great at first, then problems started rolling in I bought this TV and was generally really happy with it. For the budget we had at the time, I knew what I was getting in terms of poor local dimming and sound quality. Not a big deal. however, now we are having all kinds of problems and the TV is out of warranty. Cannot stay connected to WIFI. Figured I would just hard wire the network. Even with that, we get an icon that says "network disconnected" followed by "network connected". It makes streaming through the TV impossible. It is always buffering. Our solution was to bypass streaming through the TV and just use the Amazon Fire Stick, which worked fine. However, having a smart TV should negate the need to run through a 3rd party streaming device. Next up, television freezes momentarily every few minutes while watching cable. It's the only TV in the house to do so. So I know it isn't an issue with the cable provider. All of this will eventually add up to us scrapping this TV and purchasing anything other than LG again. That is a real drag, too. This TV is a year and a half old. Our last LG television was amazing. It lasted from 2009 through 2018 and it was just as good as the day we bought it. The production quality and support just aren't there anymore.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome TV This TV is great! The picture is absolutely beautiful! I love all the apps. It makes it easy to watch netflix, amazon, and youtube. Lately it’s been acting slightly weird. However, customer service has been very helpful.

I have a 49sk800pua and everytime i turn it on it has half the screen darkens out or all the screen darkened my tv is set on vivid with the power saving turned of so i know its not due to that.

What is the difference between this model, 65sK8000pua and 65sM8000pua?

The LG SK8000PUA 4K HDR Smart LED SUPER UHD TV w/ AI ThinQ® - 65'' Class (64.5'' Diag), Model # 65SK8000PUA is a 2018 model. Regrettably, we don't have a Model # 65SM8000PUA unless you meant the LG Nano 8 Series 4K 65 inch Class Smart UHD NanoCell TV w/ AI ThinQ® (64.5'' Diag), Model # 65SM8100, Model # 65SM8600AUA or Model # 65SM8600PUA which are 2019 models so they come with the 2019 upgrades. Our SM8600 series models will receive an upgrade that will add support for AirPlay 2, but the SM8100 series will not receive this upgrade. The SM8600 and SM8100 series TVs have Alexa built-in in addition to Google Assistant Built-in (2018 model only has Google Assistant built-in). The SM8600 series use LG's newest α7 Gen 2 Intelligent Processor while the SM8100 series uses a Quad Core Processor. The 2018 SK8000 series uses LG's α7 GEN 1 Intelligent Processor and support 4K Cinema HDR like the SM8600 series which includes support for Dolby Vision®, HDR10, and HLG HDR formats with HDR Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro (the SM8100 series does not support Dolby Vision®) The SK8000 series & SM8600 series all support Dolby Atmos®, the SM8100 does not and the SK8000 and SM8600 series all have a Refresh Rate of 120 Hz and the SM8100 has a Refresh Rate of 60 Hz. The difference between the SM8600AUA and SM8600PUA is that the SM8600PUA is WiSA ready & the SM8600PUA is not and neither are the SM8000 and SM8100 series...^IFV

The 65SK8000PUA is able to connect to external speakers via HDMI ARC or optical. It also has the ability to connect via bluetooth.

I just picked up the 65SK8000PUA and installed it on the included table stand. I am seeing that it is not level. The TV is slightly tilted on the right. I took the stand off and reinstalled and same issue. Any suggestions on a fix?
