Rated 1 out of 5 by from Image retention does not work! I bought this OLED with a promise that I would not have any burn-ins, if I exercised the noise reduction function once a week. I did and have terrible burns. I will not buy another LG again!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not your Grandad's TV! We bought this TV just before the Super Bowl 2017, Almost 6 years later before last week it still had a great Picture with minimal burn in (Burn-in seems to be a standard complaint of OLED owners), but it is there. I say before last week because last week we became the proud new members of the Black Screen club. Turn on the tv and it winks 3 red blinks of the power button ever to turn on. Seems the dirty little secret LG does not warn you about with the high price tag is it only has a life span of 3-5 years from what I have found online. Not what I expected since my first LG a 32" LCD purchased in 2007 and LG 43" LED still have great pictures and are still going strong, why on earth would I have expected better quality (OLED) to mean long life. Before you waste mine and everyone else time, I have included your canned "LG We Don't Care" response: We appreciate your feedback, and we're sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with your LG TV. Your feedback helps us keep fresh perspective regarding new ways to improve our services and future product developments. ^Nikki

I can't seem to find the HBO Go Asia or any HBO app in the LG App Store. The OLED55B6P is capable of running Netflix, Youtube, and Amazon Prime thus I assume there is a compatible HBO app so I can watch using my subscription.

Asked by: Kimba SSJ5
Hi Kimba SSJ5. You'll have to pardon us, but we don't quite understand your question about the LG B6 OLED 4K HDR Smart TV - 55" Class (54.6" Diag), Model # OLED55B6P. The TV has a 120 Hz panel, the source footage is never greater than 60Hz. When you watch a movie on Blu-ray, it's a 1080p picture at 60Hz. The disc displays 60 interlaced or 30 progressive frames at 1,920-by-1,080 resolution per second of video. For movies that were recorded on film, the original footage is actually 24 frames per second, upconverted to 30 frames through a process known as 2:3 pulldown. It distributes the source frames so they can be spread across 30 instead of 24 frames per second. Those frames are then interlaced (combined and shuffled) to 60 "frames" per second to match the 60Hz refresh rate of the vast majority of TVs you can buy today. American TVs have displayed 30 (actually, 29.97) frames per second and functioned at 60Hz since time immemorial. It's not really a problem, because between interlacing and frame pulldown, the process doesn't attempt to add information to the picture. It's simply converting it to function on the TV, because it wouldn't work otherwise...^IFV
