What people are saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Experience This is the first LG TV I’ve ever owned any will be the last unless LG resolves the issue. TV worked great then slowly degraded featuring black lines, pixel failure, and now the TV won’t even turn on. Tried engaging support to resolve which has been a nightmare. I received a case but the two repair facilities provided don’t support TV repair.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Prone to Burn-ins. Gamers beware! If you’re a hardcore gamer and enjoy a couple of hours of playing a game, this TV isn’t for you. I promise you’ll end up with some nasty burn ins. I bought this TV for its amazing picture quality. Didn’t expect such a let down with the burn in. It says it has a “noise correction” feature but it never seemed to do anything. I started noticing it after the first year of use. And since it it is not covered under warranty, I was stuck with it. Now, after 4 years, I have every HUD from every game I’ve ever played burned in. See pictures for reference. Any image with red pixels will clearly show the burned OLEDS. For such an expensive TV, I expected a longer life. Picture quality was great, but performance over time sucks. If it weren’t for this, I’d rate it 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliability.... based on 4+ Years I've been very pleased with the Picture Quality from day one. The key test for me is how an OLED performs when displaying dark / black screens. Other TV's I see today just don't compare to the inky black areas of scenes on this TV, especially in series such as "The Expanse" . LG Customer Service is always responsive, though I'm still waiting (4 years!) for them to add our Spectrum- Humax 210H Cable Box to their list of Cable Boxes so the ARC can control it. Overall we've been very pleased with its purchase.

My OLED65B6P has a burned channel tag on the picture! Happened within a year of owning the thing. the remote control white lettering has also been erased for the buttons and I have no clue what the buttons are for. So disappointing! Any fixes!

My PC is plugged into B6P with 2.2 HDMI cable (4k 60fps). When I turn my game to any resolution above 1080p with Vsync, FPS is capped to 30. Does this T.V. support > 30FPS @ > resolutions 1080p? If so, what am I doing wrong? I have it in game mode.

Asked by: Sohnsat
I think Amber missed your question. The 2016 LG OLED models do not support frame rates above 30fps for the 2160p modes. Your console is properly adjusting for this.

When is the patch coming to fix the issues with Dolby vision black levels for the B6 series?

Asked by: Gman1031
Hi Gman1031. The LG B6 OLED 4K HDR Smart TV - 65" Class (64.5" Diag), Model # OLED65B6P and all our OLEDS will soon receive an update that addresses that issue. Regrettably we don't have a date yet as we are currently doing some internal testing for the fix. Dolby admitted at CES in January that there has been an issue with playing Dolby Vision sources over HDMI that finds black levels suddenly reducing dramatically with certain dark scenes content. LG has been diligently working with Dolby to address the issue and confirmed during a conference on LG's 2018 TVs in Madrid, on March 21, that LG has received a second profile update from Dolby that’s designed to resolve the remaining issues with playing Dolby Vision over HDMI....^IFV
