Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why is this discontinued?? This was the best vacuum I have ever purchased!! I wanted to get a second one for rental property. So sad to find it’s unavailable. Seriously, the best, most effective vacuum ever - and sadly, I’ve owned so many : ( Please bring it back!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great after 5 years and we have pets This vacuum has been working great since we purchased it, my husband cleans the roller as necessary once in a while and it just keeps on trucking. I'm sad to see it discontinued.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Power Head stopped working in 1 year 9 months We purchased this Vaccum through a national chain, in Canada in December 2012. At first, I was impressed with the build-solid, not cheap feeling. It worked like a charm. Felt like the suction was great for our carpeted areas in a town home (1300 square feet, about 800 square feet are carpeted). We used the vacuum weekly and with usual use, the power head failed. When the power head was pulled back, it would loose power momentarily. This loss of power always occurred when pulling back. I ensured all the connections were on as suggested, but no luck. LG customer service was great. No service locations in my area, so they arranged for store credit. I may look to purchase the same unit, again. Hopefully I will not be burned twice.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 1 year old and broken twice!! I am so frustrated. After 9 months the power head stopped working. I had to drive it up to a repair shop where they kept it for 2.5 weeks. Now 3 months later the power head has broken in 2 pieces. Save your money on this poorly made appliance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Customer Support!!! Purchased this vacuum Jan 2013 after months of research. After receiving the vacuum it has worked without any issues until April 2014. The canister would come on but the power head would not. I suspected there was an issue with the connectors in the hose but I could not find a fix as the wiring is inside the hose. I contacted LG customer support and after explaining the issue I was told I would be sent a return box. The box arrived 2 days later, I packed the vacuum and sent it in for warranty work. I was amazed that the turn around time was less then a week. It appears that LG replaced the control hose and now it works like new. Let me point out that all repairs, labor and shipping were covered by LG. My hats off to LG and customer support. I am now a lifelong customer of LG products and plan to purchase all LG products during my home remodel. Just want to thank LG for standing behind their name.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really handles the dog hair!! I love this vacuum! Works very well on my hardwood floors and my rugs. Everything from Cobwebs on ceiling to dust and dog hair on the flooring. Our 3 dogs come and go as they wish thru their doggie door and track dirt and bits of dried grass clippings etc. in their long hair, this vacuum makes clean up very easy which is nice since it is a constant ongoing business.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Big waste of time due to poor design. This model was a close-out, so with the good price, the nice color, and the more "stylish" look than my Kenmore, I was excited to try the LG, and finally retire my Kenmore. The Pro's of this vac I would say are the retractable cord, and the power being right there on the wand. The canister is also easy enough to pull around and I have only tipped it a couple of times. The Con's. DO I FEEL CONFIDENT IN THIS VACUUM TO CLEAN GLASS UP OFF A BARE FLOOR, QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY? The answer I say is "No". 1st. I am not impressed with the ease of switching out the beater bar to the other attachments. Actually, I am afraid this just won't last. 2nd. The design of the bare floor attachment leaves me wondering, "Who designed this?" I have hardwood floors with area rugs. Because of the design of the bare floor attachment requires me to hold the wand just right to get good suction, I can't get into hard to reach places, like under a sofa even a couple of inches! I broke a lightbulb, and it shattered on the floor. As I was sweeping, I noticed small pieces of glass that were not getting picked up by the vac because I had to hold the wand just right to get any suction. So, being in a time crunch with having a dog, and three kids under 5, I grabbed my "old faithful" and cleaned it up in a jiffy. If you buy a canister vac, due to bare floors, make sure the bare floor attachment is a good design. If not you will be going over the same spot multiple times.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good Vacuum I'd been wanting this vacuum, and got it as a Christmas gift. I love how it works on my rugs. It works pretty well on floors too, the only thing I would change is that the suction on the hardwood floor attachment only comes from the very center where the hose attaches to the attachment; the outer areas of the attachment brush don't always pick up the dirt unless the center of the attachment is very close to the dirt source.

The hose handle has a chip inside it where it engages to the wand. It doesn't engage properly so the power nozzle doesn't work. Can I get a replacement hose and if so, where? Love this vacuum.

Wand/Handle/Hose won't stand vertical on it's own

Is this by design? There doesn't seem to be a locking mechanism in place on the power nozzle when you stand the wand/handle/hose upright. When you pause for a second and walk away from the unit the handle & hose fall straight backward. So you have to carefully let go so it doesn't smash on the floor and then bend down and pick it up off the floor when you return. The only method I see is you have to actually "hang" it in the main canister body which seems very odd (as it's not the easiest to fit the notches together). I've never seen a vacuum that won't stand upright on it's own. I look at the pictures of the unit on the site and the want and handle are staying vertical and it's not hanging on the main canister body. Maybe something is wrong with my power nozzle's locking mechanism??

We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this vacuum cleaner. This model has not been designed with an active latch to hold the telescopic wand upright. There is no lever or pedal to release the wand, except that for removing the wand from the vacuum head. It may be possible to continue tilting the wand forward when setting it upright. If you have additional questions in this matter, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.
