What people are saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a very good vacuum! Worth every penny! It made my carpet look brand new, and has very helpful features to it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Only great when it's working This product was number 1 on consumer reports list so I bought it. When it's working it's fine but I finally got rid of it because I had to send it back to the company several times to get different things fixed. It's terrible reliability so I would NOT recommend buying it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from eh Not very good in a home with dogs that shed. Have to replace the rotating floor brush twice. Accessories aren't conveniently attached to the vacuum.

how to switch to hand tool use on kompressor upright

Asked by: bellavia
We appreciate your interest in this vacuum cleaner. When attempting to use the wand and its attachments, make sure that the vacuum cleaner is locked in the upright position on a flat, stable surface. Press the wand release button on the body and tilt the want handle. Lift the wand up and out of its housing. Press the wand extension button on the wand and pull the wand down. Attach the desired attachment tool. Power is activated in the same manner as normal.

agitator on upright Kompressor

the agitator does not spin, the motor turning the belt does not turn the shaft, the reset button is not sticking out. One side of the agitator hardly spins although some wd-40 did allow the other side of the agitator to spin freely. Need to replace the agitator? Why doesn't the agitator motor shaft at least try to turn the belt (which is fine). If the agitator needs replacement, what is the part number? Any other fixes? Thanks.

on/off issues?

It was working properly then I used the wand to get dirt off the steps. Now the vacuum won't switch from carpet to floor. When the vacuum is upright the power will not turn on. When I release the handle from the locked position the motor will then start. If I hit the carpet/floor button it will turn off. There is no suction from the wand. If I remove the wand from the base the motor cuts off again.
Asked by: ladilawyer
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this vacuum cleaner. It is normal for the brush motor to stop when using the wand attachment. However, this should not prevent suction from the wand. If the wand is not operating, check to make sure that all connections are secure, and that the power lines to the wand are connected properly. If they are, and the unit is still inoperable, then the unit may require service. Please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 to make proper service arrangements.
