CHICAGO, Nov. 30, 2025 — Leading commercial display innovator LG Electronics USA is expanding its portfolio of professional medical displays at RSNA 2025 with the launch of the new 31.5-inch 4K Mini-LED Surgical Monitor, combining superior imaging performance with intelligent features that simplify surgical workflows and enhance reliability in operating room environments. The new monitor (Model 32HS710S) is on display at Booth #3941 in McCormick Place through Dec. 3.
The latest in LG’s 4K Mini-LED Surgical Monitor lineup, LG 32HS710S delivers ultra-sharp 4K UHD (3,840×2,160) resolution on a high-brightness 800 cd/m² IPS panel. Covering approximately 95 percent of the DCI-P3 color space and compliant with the DICOM standard, the monitor reproduces images with exceptional clarity, accuracy and uniformity across a wide viewing angle, helping surgical teams visualize critical details with greater confidence.
“For medical facilities facing increasing pressure on staff, time and equipment utilization, this new monitor serves as an intelligent display platform – not just a high-resolution monitor,” said Jim Salamon, senior healthcare IT manager at LG Electronics USA. “The display has been designed in close alignment with the needs of surgical teams who demand precision, flexibility, consistent performance, and reliability in every procedure.”
Engineered with durability and optical precision in mind, the LG 32HS710S incorporates Optical Bonding technology beneath its protective glass surface, minimizing internal reflections and improving contrast. Anti-Glare, Anti-Reflection and Anti-Fingerprint coatings further maintain visual clarity even under bright surgical lighting, while IP45 (front) and IP32 (rear) ingress protection — along with IK06 impact resistance — ensure dependable operation in demanding environments. Weighing just 20.3 pounds, the display is compatible with a wide range of surgical monitor arms for flexible installation.
The monitor’s intelligent feature set allows clinicians to tailor its behavior to their preferred workflow. Users can assign preset picture-mode settings independently to each input source, optimizing display parameters for different imaging devices in the OR. Dedicated hotkeys enable quick, one-touch activation of preferred viewing modes and Picture-by-Picture (PBP) configurations, reducing setup time between procedures. The display supports 4-screen PBP and Picture-in-Picture (PIP) modes for monitoring multiple video sources simultaneously and offers Mirror and Rotation modes for flexible image orientation. A Clone Screen output allows real-time duplication to auxiliary displays, enabling easy collaboration or training during operations.
To protect against signal interruptions, LG’s built-in Failover Input Switch automatically transitions to a backup source if the primary feed is lost, helping maintain continuous visualization during critical procedures. Connectivity options include HDMI, DisplayPort, 3G-SDI and DVI-D inputs, plus HDMI and 3G-SDI outputs for clone viewing. USB 3.0 upstream and downstream ports support accessories and calibration. The display also integrates with LG’s hardware calibration software, ensuring consistent color accuracy and luminance uniformity throughout its service life.
The 32HS710S joins LG’s growing family of surgical-grade displays, which includes the 27HS714S — a 27-inch 4K Mini-LED surgical monitor designed for immersive environments to focus on the surgical procedure. Together, these displays provide hospitals and surgical centers with a comprehensive range of visualization solutions — from minimally invasive procedure rooms to hybrid operating suites — all backed by LG’s proven expertise in display technology and medical-grade reliability that deliver consistently high performance in every type of procedure.
Featuring multiple signal inputs, surgeon-friendly hotkeys and independent picture-mode profiles — plus automated screen settings, one-touch controls and reliable backup systems — this monitor supports today’s multi-modal operating room workflows and enables clinical staff to adapt quickly to the dynamic requirements of modern surgery.
“In developing this latest model in our lineup, we concentrated on delivering practical workflow benefits for surgical teams — for whom time and focus are critical — and the 32HS710S certainly provides the tools to help medical staff maintain their full focus on patient care,” said Salamon.
“At the same time,” he added, “LG remains committed to expanding its medical and surgical display portfolio to meet every imaging requirement across healthcare — from diagnostic and clinical review to complex advanced surgical displays such as large-format 55-inch 4K monitors designed for wall-mounted or integrated OR environments. By combining precision imaging, intuitive operation and long-term reliability, LG aims to support healthcare professionals in delivering the highest standards of patient care.”
