What people are saying

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Undetected leak - Controls rusted We just had this machine hauled off because repair would have cost 3/4 of the price for a new machine. Frustrated by LG's cust service and difficulty finding service technicians. Dishwasher, microwave, oven and now washing machine all failed within 6 month of each other. I will not be purchasing another LG product in this lifetime and will share my experience with all who ask me about appliances. What happened to integrity and building quality products???

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A elegant and clean washer I had the washer from 2016 to 2022, the washer helped our family keep our clothes clean and fresh. The only mechanical issue we had was not realizing we were overloading the washer with no clear sign until the washer gave an error.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not reliable I frequently receive uneven load errors and feel like an idiot for dealing with this washer for so long. Even clean tub mode the washer won’t spin out. More than 30 percent of the loads don’t spin out.

I have a WT1101CW washer that displayed a UE code. I have tried several time to restart the spin cycle but keep getting the code. I have emptied the clothes out and retired the rinse and spin cycle but I get a noise like a gear slipping.

Model WT101cw top load need to replace the drain pump and need the part number. Thank you

Asked by: C256
Did you mean Model # WT1101CW? (You gave Model # WT101CW). The drain pump for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.1 cu. ft. Large Capacity Top Load Washer with Sleek Easy Front Control Panel, Model # WT1101CW is Part # 5859EA1004G. It can be ordered from our LG Authorized Parts Distributor affiliate, Encompass Simply Parts, (800) 432-8542, Please verify with them before placing your order. They will also need the factory suffix at the end of the model number (e.g. WT1101CW - ABWEPUS, WT1101CW - ABWEEUS or WT1101CW - ABWEEHD) so they can identify the specific list of parts for your model...^IFV

We have the WT1101CW-top-load-washer. For over a year now it shake so much wng goes off balance we have to readjust the laundry multiple times a cycle and takes well over 2 hours to do a load of laundry. And now 2 pieces of clothing get it off balance

Asked by: Triciakh
Check to make sure that the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.1 cu. ft. Large Capacity Top Load Washer with Sleek Easy Front Control Panel, Model # WT1101CW is properly leveled. The uE/UE code indicates that the washer is attempting to balance the load, which may be the result of the unit not being leveled correctly or the load itself. This code can be easily resolved without the need of a technician. When the uE/UE displays on the screen, the unit fills with water in order to agitate and separate your clothing items, then drain and try to spin again. After three attempts to balance, the uE will change to UE, meaning that the unit is unable to rebalance the load and requires assistance. To determine if the unit is operating correctly, perform a Rinse and Spin cycle with nothing in the drum. If the uE or UE error displays again, the unit is not working properly and it will require repair service. IF it does not display the uE or UE error code, it just needs to be leveled properly. THree important factors trigger the uE/UE error code, leveling, uneven load type and distribution, and selected washing cycle. Open the lid and look inside. Check the plastic guard around the drum to see if it is exposed more to one side than the other. If one side is more exposed than the other, you will need to raise the side on which the tub is leaning. Getting the exact level can be tricky so you will need to run the washer with a test load. Place around six pounds of laundry in the washer and select Rinse and Spin. When the Rinse and Spin cycle starts running, check to see if the washer rocks or vibrates during the spin cycle. If it does, go bak to leveling the washer again...^IFV

We have a WT1101CW washer. After 6 years it is overflowing the standing drain pipe on heavy load. It seems the drain flow rate is tremendous and overloads the 2" ABS standing pipe. Pipe was snaked, no blockages. Can we slow down the drain flow rate?

Asked by: Drain Overload WT1101CW
The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.1 cu. ft. Large Capacity Top Load Washer with Sleek Easy Front Control Panel, Model # WT1101CW automatically adjusts the water level according to the size of your load. There is no way to slow down the drain flow rate for the washer if it is draining at the same rate that it has always drained at since you have owned the washer. The only thing that might be making it overflow as you have described is if the forced drain system is not functioning properly which means you may have to have the washer inspected by a qualified service technician...^IFV

The hinge to the lid has broken for the den of time, having replaced it once before. Is this a design flaw?

Asked by: StixBailey
The right hinge on my washer has broken as well. I think it is a design flaw but LG will not own up to it.
