New 2006 Line Demonstrates Quality, Performance and Product Leadership

NEW YORK --- December 14, 2005 --- LG Electronics, in an exclusive, special product preview held in New York City, today unveiled its 2006 portfolio of home appliance offerings. This leading global consumer products manufacturer continued its advance in the premium appliance category with the introduction of several flagship products and the availability of the full-kitchen offering for the U.S. market. At the event, guests experienced products in an inspirational setting illustrating exactly how LG enhances consumers" every day lives.

The exhibit featured product displays and demonstrations of the brand's new SteamWasher" with Remote Monitoring Laundry System, and full kitchen, including new version of the award-winning TV Refrigerator.

LG featured the following roster of products at the event:

TV Refrigerator: The updated TV Refrigerator now incorporates a larger, 15-inch LCD television on the right panel as well as information center on the left panel. Key features of the information panel include weather forecasts, date/time, recipe bank, personal photo album and calendar with alarm along with tools to manage refrigerator settings.

Panorama Three-Door Refrigerator Models: With the growing popularity of French-door style refrigerators, LG expands its current line of Panorama Three-Door refrigerators to now include a model with an external ice and water dispenser, offering consumers a greater level of convenience and increased functionality. Now consumers can benefit from the convenient storage capabilities of a bottom freezer and have the filtered ice and water access that side-by-side owners have long enjoyed.

Side-by-Side Refrigerator Models: The LG Side-By-Side Refrigerator line incorporates the new SpacePlus Icemaker technology, which makes ice directly on the door, as opposed to on the top of the freezer section. This technological advancement frees up valuable storage capacity within the freezer compartment while delivering the convenience of an on-the-door ice dispenser. The icemaker features a custom cube option and a removable bin for easy access and serving.

Range: The new LG Range delivers superior cooking versatility with added convenience, making it easier than ever for consumers to achieve great cooking results. With a 5.6 cubic foot capacity, it is one of the largest ovens available, providing the space needed for large family dinners, entertaining and special events. The unit also features a blue interior cavity, further enhancing its premium look and feel.

Dishwasher: Models are available in semi- and fully-integrated models and a variety of finishes to suit any kitchen style, as well as match other LG appliances. The semi-integrated models feature digital display and controls on the outside door, while the fully-integrated versions have the digital display on the outside door and controls hidden on top of the door for a more polished look. In addition to be being one of the quietest dishwashers on the market (48 decibels), it features an extra large stainless steel tub which is one of the largest capacities available in the U.S.  fitting 16 place settings, versus the standard 12 or 14 on the market today.

Steam Tromm Laundry System with Remote Monitoring Capabilities:
LG's proprietary steam washing technology introduces an entirely new concept of clothing care. The SteamFresh Cycle uses the power of steam to remove wrinkles and odors from clothing without the use of water or detergent. This innovative, new cycle will reduce trips to the dry cleaner and make the ironing board seem obsolete. It can even be used to refresh clothes in

between washes. The unit also features one of the largest capacity drums in the industry, at 4.0 cubic feet, and has one of the fastest spin speeds at 1320 RPMs. Sporting a menu-driven control panel with an attractive, blue LCD screen, the SteamWasherTM offers a multi-language option English, French and Spanish eliminating potential language barriers. Additionally, the SteamWasherTM line is enabled to work with the award-winning LG Remote Monitoring Laundry System. The system allows consumers to monitor cycle progress while they focus on other activities around the home.

Over-the-range: The model offers a 2.0 cubic foot capacity, along with LG's Glide'n CookTM system a unique sliding tray that maximizes cooking space and promotes even cooking. The product also incorporates an easy-to-reach MonitorTM look control panel placed at the bottom of the unit. It features 1100 watts of power, 300 CFM and a melt/soften function for various cooking needs. It also includes two halogen cook top lights and WideView windows for easier viewing.
