LG USA LAUNCHES “THE RIVALRIES” CAMPUS CLASH PROGRAM IN TIME FOR FAMED BLACK HILLS BRAWL

LG Invites Students to Put Their School Spirit on Display with On-Campus Competition

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., Sept. 25, 2023 – Today, LG Electronics USA announced its Campus Clash competition, an expansion of the LG Channels exclusive series The Rivalries that will take the celebration of school spirit and epic rivalries to new heights. Timed to South Dakota’s legendary Black Hills Brawl, LG is challenging students at Black Hills State University (BHSU) and South Dakota Mines (SDM) to put their creativity to the test with short-form videos that capture what the storied rivalry means to them.

As part of the first-ever Campus Clash, the LG Creator Studio will arrive on each campus to provide students with resources to create their Campus Clash videos. Activating on the SDM campus from September 25-27 and at the BHSU campus from September 28-30, these tricked-out mobile studios will feature the latest in the LG lineup, on-site production crews and social media experts to guide students as they create their submission videos.

General voting for the competition will take place from October 10-17, with each school voting for the top video on their respective campuses. The spirit of the Black Hills Brawl will then be reignited from October 20-28, when the schools go head-to-head to vote for the first-ever Campus Clash winner.

The winner will be announced on October 30 on LG USA’s social channels. The winning student will receive an exclusive LG Content Creator Kit packed with LG’s latest products including an LG gram laptop, UltraWide monitor, Bluetooth speaker and LG TONE earbuds. Additionally, the winning student’s school will receive a custom production and media experience from Emmy® award-winning JayByrd Films, who will create a custom hype video spotlighting the school’s spirit.

As an official partner of the NCAA®, LG brings stories to life with its The Rivalries series, which is available for free exclusively on the NCAA Championships Channel (Channel 100) via LG Channels on LG Smart TVs.
