Some devices may require additional drivers from their respective manufacturers, but most will not require anything additional.

Note: Compatibility between different versions of Bluetooth (e.g. BT 2.0 vs BT 4.0) may cause issues.

Connecting a Bluetooth device is a fairly easy process.

Before beginning the Pairing (connection) process, make sure the following prerequisites are met:

  • If your Bluetooth device requires any special drivers, be sure to follow the instructions that came with the device.
  • Make sure the device is powered on, and in Pairing mode. Check the device's user manual for instructions.
  • Check for any special requirements for pairing the device, such as whether the PC needs to be discoverable.
