Place the UHD antenna near a window and connect the antenna cable to the UHD TV port on the back of your TV.
Then, run Auto Tuning. After the channel scan is complete, you can watch UHD channels without a separate set-top box.
Why Are UHD Channels Not Appearing?
- Your antenna cable is loose or connected to a standard antenna port instead of the dedicated UHD TV port on the back of your TV.
- You did not run Auto Tuning to scan for channels after connecting the antenna.
How to Connect a UHD Antenna and Scan for Channels
Step 1. Position the UHD Antenna
Walls, metal doors, and other obstacles can interfere with UHD broadcast signals.
Place or mount the antenna near a window or in an elevated position.
Step 2. Connect the Antenna to the Correct Port
If your TV has one antenna port, connect the antenna cable directly to that port.
If your TV has two antenna ports, connect the cable to the UHD TV port and turn the connector until it is secure.
Step 3. Scan for Channels
Press the Settings (gear icon) or Mute button on your remote three times in a row.
For webOS 6.0 and later (2021 and newer): Press the Settings button on your remote, and then select All Settings, General, Channels, Channel Tuning, and Auto Tuning.
For webOS 5.0 and earlier (2020 and older): Press the Settings button on your remote, and then select All Settings, Channels, Channel Tuning, and Auto Tuning.
Step 4. Still Need Help?
If the issue persists after following the steps above, you can get further support through LG Chatbot on our website or by requesting a technician visit.
