What to Do If Your Refrigerator Compartment Is Not Cold Enough
Step 1. Check the Door
Food, containers, shelves, or drawers may prevent the door from closing and allow warm air to enter.
Make sure your food and containers are not blocking the door.
Ensure the shelves and drawers are installed correctly.
Clean any debris from the door gasket.
Step 2. Rearrange Your Food
Cold air cannot circulate evenly if food blocks the air vents.
Fill the refrigerator compartment to about 70% of its capacity.
Keep your food away from the air vents and temperature sensor.
Step 3. Lower the Temperature
The default temperature on many models is 3°C (37°F) or Medium.
Unlock the control panel and press the Refrigerator Temperature button to lower the current setting by 1 to 2°C (2 to 4°F).
If your refrigerator uses a dial or a different button, set the cooling level to Strong.
Step 4. Still need help?
