[LG TV] Troubleshooting Continuous Screen Flickering

  • Troubleshooting

If your LG TV screen flickers or goes black, the broadcasting signal may be too weak or unstable.
Check the signal strength through the TV’s menu. If the signal is low, contact your service provider for assistance.
Flickering may also occur due to a TV-related issue.
Use the remote control to open the settings menu and see if it displays normally.
If the on-screen menu also flickers, please contact LG Customer Support for consultation and inspection.

Why is the TV screen flickering?

  • A weak input signal can cause the screen to flicker, go black or display glitches.
  • An unstable antenna connection or worn-out cables may lead to picture issues.
  • Problems with the connection between an external device, such as a set-top box, and the TV can cause flickering.
  • Internal component issues within the TV may result in flickering.

How to resolve TV flickering issues

Use the remote control to check for TV issues.

Press the settings or volume buttons on the remote control to check if the menu appears normally on the TV screen.

  • If the menu displays correctly, the issue may be with the connected external devices (e.g. set-top box) or cables.
