LG TV – How to Manually Change the DNS Server Settings

Setting the DNS server manually can often resolve app issues on your LG smart TV, such as apps disappearing, receiving error messages, or apps refusing to open.

Try This

[2021 WebOS6.0 or later]

1Press the settings button on remote button on the TV remote and select [All Settings][General][Network][Internet Connection] → Wired Network Connection (Ethernet)].

2Select [General] and then [Network]

3Select [Wired Connection (Ethernet)] or [Wi-Fi Connection] depending on your setup.

4Select [Edit] in [Wired Connection] or [Advanced Wi-Fi Settings] in [Wi-Fi- Connection].

5Edit the DNS Server to the desired value and select [Connect].

Note

Cloudflare Warp hosts public DNS servers for anyone to use.

Warps public DNS servers are 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1.

[2020 WebOS5.0]

Press the settings button on remote button on the TV remote and select [All Settings][Connection][Network Connection Settings].

[2019 WebOS4.5]

Press the settings button on remote button on the TV remote and select [All Settings][Connection].

[2018 WebOS4.0 or before]

 

Press the settings button on remote button on the TV remote and select [All Settings][Network].
