Is LG selling my personal information to advertisers?

answer Answer

No. LG does not sell users’ personal information to advertisers. Our new Privacy Policy provides important information about how LG collects, uses, and shares information that LG obtains when customers use LG Smart TV Services. Some of that information may be used in connection with advertising--but never in a way that identifies any individual customer.

LG’s agreements also specifically allow customers to block personalised advertising on their Smart TVs. By declining the relevant agreement, customers will prevent information from being used to provide personalised ads to their Smart TV. This is another one of the privacy-enhancing features of our new policies.
