What people are saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money. Don't buy this!! I've owned this speaker system for 9 months. I've used multiple sources and watched numerous movies and shows. All I can say is this thing is awful. The sounds is very unbalanced. Watching movies the sound sound over powers the voice. Music is unbearable, bassy, muffled. No clarity whatsoever. ATMOS is a joke, the up firing speakers don't see to do anything Dolby 5.1 sounds better than ATMOS. No matter what settings I use I can not get good sound out of this thing. Calibration just seems to boost the bass to an unbearable level. Just don't do it. LG should be ashamed of this product especially since it's suppose to be the flagship sound bar.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sound bar, but horrible app experience I bought this as my first high end sound bar….it sounds amazing and is immersive. It offers tons of support for all the latest enhancements. What I don’t like is the lack of an on-screen menu. Having to deal with the app is not easy, as it is difficult to connect the first time and once it is connected, it doesn’t stay connected for future uses. It shouldn’t be happening for paying such a premium price. LG you can do better! Please fix this app connectivity issue and if able to, add an on-screen menu update. You make the best tv’s with OLED, this soundbar can lead the pack if given better functionality and support without having to buy a new one next year with upgrade.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Power Issue There appears to be a somewhat common issue with the 83” G2. Many people are receiving units that , when the TV has been off for a certain amount of time, it has to be powered on multiple times before it will stay on. Mine was purchased in Nov 22 and I’ve had the main board and power supply replaced. Now a tech has to come out to replace more parts. Frustrating to say the least considering how expensive these are and the hassle of having to take it down multiple times LG - what”s the solution here?

The rear speakers for my LG S95QR got damaged, and I can't retrieve the part number to at least check with encompass for a replacement. Is this something you can help me with? (part numbers for the two rear speakers). Thanks

Asked by: Markalister
Hello, Markalister. Encompass Parts Distribution does not list the LG Soundbar with Dolby Atmos® 9.1.5 Channel, Model # S95TR, on its site, which probably means that the rear speakers are not sold separately for this soundbar. Page 1 of your owner's manual for the soundbar lists the SPQ9-SL, and SPQ9-SR as the compatible rear speakers for the soundbar, but these rear speakers are only available as part of the soundbar and are not sold separately. You can call Encompass to verify...^Ivan.

Asked by: NolaJoe
Hello, NolaJoe. The LG Soundbar with Dolby Atmos® 9.1.5 Channel, Model # S95QR, supports Bluetooth. It features an HDMI eARC port and an Optical Digital Audio Input, so it can be paired via Bluetooth with the LG 65-inch Class QNED 4K LED 65QNED85TAA Series TV with webOS 24, Model # 65QNED85TAA. Alternatively, you can connect its HDMI eARC to the HDMI eARc port (HDMI 3) on the TV, or connect its Optical Digital Audio Input to the TV's optical Digital Audio Output. The TV does not support Dolby Atmos®, so even though it is supported on the Soundbar, you will not get Dolby Atmos®...^Ivan.

I am very interested in this sound bar with a new tv we are buying. Are the rear speakers wired or wireless? If wireless, what powers them?

Asked by: Grandpug2017
Hello. The rear speakers for the LG Soundbar with Dolby Atmos® 9.1.5 Channel, Model # S95QR, are truly wireless. They do not require a receiver or speaker wires. However, they still need to be plugged into an outlet with the power cable. Companies are developing 'true' wireless charging that works over the air so you can power up at a distance. But don't throw away your charging cable just yet. The basic idea of wireless power transfer is not new, as evidenced by Nikola Tesla’s 1907 patent application for an “apparatus for transmitting electrical energy.” But 115 years later, the technology may finally be reaching a mature enough level to find regular use in a variety of applications...^Ivan.

Does the LG S95TR soundbar pair up with the LG C3 TV to get the "Wow Orchestra" and AI Pro settings?

Asked by: lojar
Hey there. Yes, this LG soundbar is compatible with your LG C3 TV. On the soundbar press the Bluetooth to activate the pairing mode, on the TV, go to the settings menu and navigate to the Bluetooth settings. You will see the soundbar in the list. Once you confirm it, you should get a confirmed message on both the TV and soundbar. To access the "Wow Orchestra" and AI Pro settings, Press the "Settings" button on your TV remote control on the TV. Select the "Picture" settings menu. In the "Picture" menu, look for the "Mode" option and select it. Choose the "Wow Orchestra" and then select the "Advanced Settings," and you should find the "AI Pro" setting to enable this option.
