Good choice.
After a year with this fridge, I decided to share my experience. I really shopped a long time before deciding on this one, and I am happy with my choice. I had a noisey Frigidaire side-by-side with door dispenser for 17 years before this. Compared with my new one, I don't miss it. This one is so quiet I don't hear it running (my hearing is not great). I had to adjust to opening the door for water or ice, but the trade-off is worth it. The 26 cu ft space is amazing. I never struggle to fit more in. The smudge-free SS finish is surprisingly effective and very easy to clean. Also easy is installing, adjusting shelves, opening and closing doors and drawer, changing filters. I did take a while to adjust to the three-door layout, but that too was worth it. I will mention some of the negatives here, so you know I am sincere. It does stick out 5.75" past the counter plus handles (or the door bangs the cabintry). The ice system is slow and a bit stuck together. The controls are not easy to figure out. Despite these drawbacks, if a tree fell on it today, I would buy another one just like it.

The delivery guys arrived exactly on time. The tracking said 0753 and they rang the doorbell at 0753. Unboxed, no damage, took every scrap of packing material away, and placed the unit in position and leveled. I do not use the water hookup nor the ice. If you connect the water do yourself a favor and pitch the cheap plastic hose and get a braided water hose that will not degrade and burst. It took about 2 hours to reach the default 37/0 degrees for the refrigerator and freezer but LG says to give it 24 hours to stabilize while empty. The old one still works so it's sitting in the nook area while the LG is stabilizing. Costco will return anytime I call within the next 30 days to remove the old refrigerator. The drawers run fairly smooth but I grease all the friction points with a food grade grease anyway. I also grease the area on the left door where the center flap engages at the top. Be prepared for the auto close door, it really does work! The app is beyond cool. I already had it set up for my LG washer, dryer and microwave so adding the fridge was a breeze. All I had to do as point my phone at the QR code inside the fridge and I was done. It tells you the inside temps and KwH used and a few other useful tidbits. I chose this LG because it does not use the dreaded linear compressor, none of the counter depth max units do. It uses a reciprocating smart compressor that even with my hearing aids on I can not hear. The warranty is the best in the industry but I still bought the extended warranty. For $40.00 a year it is a no brainer. It does show fingerprints, they all do regardless of what the manufacturer says. I know, I tested everything at a big box store. Prints wipe off easily with a microfiber cloth going with the grain. I like the no handles look and operation. My wife likes the texture on the sides, easy to clean and no prints. I would not use magnets on the front SS finish, bad things can happen to the SS finish. Magnets on the sides only. It came with a free 6 cubic foot fridge that I'll just store it in case the fridge ever goes bad. It's a very nice compact unit. To date all my communications with LG have been answered quickly and with useful information. I ask a lot of questions before I buy anything. The doors are 4 inches thick so it does stick out past the countertops. The doors are not zero clearance so that has to be factored into placement. Shelves are split and adjustable. Capacity is huge.
