In October 2009, the test laboratory at LG Electronics became an official solar cell module test laboratory certified by TÜV Rhineland and Underwriters Laboratories Inc. LG Electronics has met the core standard specifications for solar cell modules, which were tested for performance and safety by analyzing solar light specifications and field failures.
