If you are concerned about food spoilage during this process, we recommend scheduling a service for an accurate diagnosis. - Try this
- 1. Transfer your food to a backup refrigerator or cooler if available.
- 2. Unplug the power cord from the outlet.
- 3. Leave both the freezer and refrigerator doors completely open for at least 8 hours to allow the ice to melt.
- 4. Use dry towels to wipe up any water inside or around the unit after the ice melts.
- 5. Plug the unit back in. It may take 24 to 48 hours for the refrigerator to return to optimal cooling temperatures.
