LG Art Cool air conditioners feature a 27-inch LCD screen that can display photos, videos, and information widgets.
You can set up an Art Screen (display images) either using the LG ThinQ app or the air conditioner’s screen menu.
To set up a Play Screen (display videos), use your smartphone’s screen mirroring function to cast videos onto the air conditioner’s display.
How to display an image (Art Screen)
- 1. Open the LG ThinQ app on your smartphone and connect it with your Art Cool air conditioner.
- 2. Select your LG Art Cool and then select Cover Screen Settings.
- 3. Select your preferred image from the available Style options.
- 4. The selected image will be displayed on your air conditioner's screen.
You can save your own images in the ThinQ app and manage them from the air conditioner’s screen.
Select the option ‘My Own Picture Frame’ in the ThinQ app and choose up to 20 images.
Supported image formats are JPG and PNG. The recommended image resolution is 1920x1080 or higher, and the recommended ratio is 16:9.
You can also access Art Screen settings by tapping the Settings icon at the bottom of the air conditioner screen.
How to display a video (Play Screen)
- 1. On your air conditioner: Tap the 'Screen Mirroring' button at the bottom of your Art Cool’s screen.
- 2. On your smartphone: Enable the screen sharing or screen casting function on your smartphone.
- 3. Select your Art Cool air conditioner from the list of available devices and connect to it.
- 4. Once connected, videos and photos on the smartphone screen will appear on the air conditioner screen.
Screen mirroring may be restricted for certain DRM-protected content.

- Q. Can I display videos using the Art Screen feature?
Currently, the Art Screen feature only supports still images (JPG, PNG) and cannot play videos. You can however use the Play Screen feature to display videos via screen mirroring.
- Q. What should I do if the Play Screen frequently disconnects?
Make sure your smartphone and air conditioner are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, and use them in environments with little radio interference.
If the connection is unstable, it is recommended to reboot the router or update it to the latest firmware. - Q. Is there a size limit for the Art Screen image?
You can upload images up to 10MB each, with a recommended resolution of 1920x1080 or higher. Note that larger image files may cause slower upload speeds.
