[LG Front Load Washer] Fabric softener dispensed too early

  • Troubleshooting

Fabric softener can be dispensed too early in the following cases:
- The dispenser was overfilled beyond the MAX line.
- The dispenser was closed too forcefully, causing the fabric softener to spill over into the drum.
- High water pressure caused water to splash into the softener compartment during drum filling.
- The dispenser was opened while water was being supplied, causing the softener to enter the drum too early

Try this

Do not overfill the detergent dispenser

➔ When adding softener, do not fill past the MAX line. Close the detergent drawer gently

Overfilling can cause premature dispensing.
Refer to the softener manufacturer’s guidelines and add the recommended amount. Always ensure the detergent drawer is closed slowly and securely.

Manage water pressure

➔ Close the tap slightly to lower the water pressure if needed.

Excessive water pressure may cause splashing into the softener compartment, leading to early dispensing.
If you suspect this is occurring, partially close the tap to reduce water flow.

not open the detergent drawer when the drum is being filled

➔ Avoid opening the detergent drawer when you hear water being supplied to the drum.

Fabric softener is automatically dispensed during the final rinse cycle, regardless of the number of rinse cycles set.
Opening the drawer during water supply can cause water to splash into the softener compartment, resulting in premature dispensing.
