Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best in class This 4k OLED with Dolby Vision is amazing. Not much more can be said. HDMI ports are new 2.1 spec and in terms of performance it's class leading. Blacker blacks and whiter whites. 5/5

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing picture quality Amazing tv, quality of picture is best I ever had specially the blacks. Software so far very quick and easy. Only thing I didn't like is alexa, its connected but everything I ask alexa for something it doesn't acknowledge, I think it's an issue with thinQ skill on alexa.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Electronic Engineer Great tv ,picture and motion handling ,same ball park as other big players . One drop , the ethernet port or LAN is 100Mps. Thats bad as im waching content in 4k 60 hz HDR/DolbyVision and Dolby Atmos with a bitrate higher than 150Mbs. I can't on this tv through LAN ,its buffering and the experience ruined . Would be verry welcome a 1Gb ethernet port. No need wifi in me home for this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant look counter intuitive to use I bought this to replace a LG telly bought in Dec 2013. Not surprisingly things have moved on since then & once constructed (which is a two man job) the set up was simple. Love the features & the brushed steel support base is classy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent picture...but... It's a real shame that so many things in web OS are so badly thought out. They could so easily be fixed with an update: 1) you can't rename the TV - so when you go to stream something to it on the network it's name is [LG] webOS TV OLEDXYZetc. That's really rubbish and a good reason not to buy another one as it would be confusing which was which. It would be so easy to allow people to change it to say 'LG Living room' 2) there's no way to turn off or hide inputs that aren't in use. I only have 2 inputs, both HDMI, but when I click the change source button I have to scroll through 5 options! one of which is 'live TV' which I never use, another is 'media server' which I will never use on my TV and the last one is 'home dashboard' which is not a source input. Allow users to turn off or hide inputs they don't want to see from the menu! 3) and while on this if I want to change source I just want to click source to get to the one I want and then it should change. It doesn't. Theres a 5 second delay between selecting the source I want and it actually changing to that source. And no I don't want click again. Just make it simple LG please i.e. getting where you want in the least no of clicks possible 4) web OS is good but I asked in the shop - is it possible to remove items from the app menu? Oh yes I was told. Actually it's only possible to remove some. There are factory installed apps that I will never use that cant be deleted! infuriating!!! 5) there are no useful options for the gallery mode! you can choose all these lovely pictures but you cant a) set how long each one should play for or b) tell the TV to automatically use the gallery as a screensaver if for example no picture is detected after a few minutes 3) you also have to choose from certain groups of pictures each which contains 10-15 images. Why cant I just choose all images available?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple breathtaking picture Amazing. Standard broadcast and HD are upscaled very well. The detail when watching a HD Blu-ray is fantastic. However, the UHD picture, has to be seen to be believed - rich vibrant colours, with superb clarity. Using the apps adds to both UHD and Dolby Atmos content, coupled with variety. You can use the LG Magic remote to control Sky Q - select the Sky SD option during set up, it then takes you to a screen, where it asks you to select (in my case PR - which means previous) a button with your magic remote (place the red dot, on the button option and watch the preview screen, to see when it takes effect - with me it cycled through 3 options (thus 3 no’s) before changing back channel on the Sky Q preview picture. Then select next and your done. I also have the LG SL9YG, soundbar (reviewed separately), which really brings the experience to life. Your TV Sound option, in ‘Digital Sound Out’ must be set to Auto, or it won’t process Dolby Atmos from your TV to Soundbar. The Soundbar says Dolby Atmos ARC, each time, when it detects the format. A few issues in sound, resulting in a few resetting using reset option in the LG WiFi Speaker App (early days I guess - hope they sort it out with firmware release for the soundbar in the future). A side issue, it also uses less power than my old 43 inch LCD. It takes both TV viewing and Cinema experience to a whole new level. With all HDMI’s being 2.1, it is as future proof as can be. The life like quality of the imagines, is astoundingly breathtaking . Highly recommend this magnificent TV.
