Safety Settings Menu

Troubleshooting

The LG TV Safety Menu settings allow you to set a PIN code to lock channels, applications and input on your TV.

Default PIN code is "0000".

 

 

 

Below is the list of available Safety Menu settings.

 

TV Rating Locks

Restrict access to TV programs to TV programs and movies based on their ratings.

 

Channel/Programme Locks 

Restrict access to TV specified channels.

  • Source Selection - Set the source of the channels to display.
  • Lock All - Sets all channels (from current source) to require a PIN.
  • Select individual channels to lock by hovering over them and clicking the OK button.


 

Application Locks

Restrict access to specified Apps.

  • Lock All - Sets all apps to require a PIN.
  • Select individual apps to lock by hovering over them and clicking the OK button.

 

Input Locks 

Restrict access to TV specified inputs.

  • Lock All - Sets all apps to require a PIN.
  • Select individual apps to lock by hovering over them and clicking the OK button.

 

Reset PIN Code

Sets a new PIN Code (Password).

For WebOS 1.0 - WebOS 1.5

1. Click the Home button on the Remote Control.

2. Click Settings  on the screen.

3. Click Lock and Reset PIN code on the settings menu.

4. Enter wrong password once.

 

 5. On "PIN MISMATCH" screen, Push CH (Channel) button as below.

    

6. Enter MASTER PIN code → 0313.

 

For WebOS 2.0 - WebOS 4.0

 

1. Click the Home   button on the Remote Control.

2. Click Settings  on the screen.

3. Go to Safety and Highlight with cursor "TV Rating Locks".

4. Press Keys → "Ch Up, Ch Up, Ch Down, Ch Up on the Magic Remote Control.

5. The screen will Pop-up with "MASTER PIN CODE".

 

 6. Enter "0313" and press Enter.

7. Password will reset to the default value "0000".
