How to enable monitor speakers and other audio devices :
This video explains about how to enable the audio in LG Monitor. The icons & other user menu options displayed here are given for Windows 10 OS only.
If you are using any other OS, the on screen options may differ.
Keep of note of the below things while trying to make the audio work in LG Monitor.
※ Make sure that the Monitor Model you are using has inbuilt speakers. This can be checked from the user manual or from LG website.
※ If the monitor has an inbuilt speaker, then sound can work, otherwise an external speaker has to be connected to the audio jack on the monitor
※ The connection from PC to monitor has to be through an HDMI, DP or Type-C cable for the audio to transfer to Monitor.
※ If the monitor is connected to PC through VGA cable, then audio cannot transfer to Monitor & won't play even if the monitor has inbuilt speakers.
※ After checking the above steps, if the sound is still not played in Monitor, then enable the LG Monitor default audio by clicking on the Speaker icon in the bottom right corner
※ There is no separate driver required to play the audio
If the above steps do not resolved the issue, then get your PC or laptop checked. It might have an issue.
