Weak Cooling in REF and Freezer compartment in Double Door/Frost Free
Weak freezability. Food items melt.
Foods are unfrozen. Ice cream melts.
1. Adjust Temp.
① If the Freezer Air Flow is set at minimum, food can melt.
② If the Refrigerator Temperature is set at high, it may cause refrigerator to become warm. There is a sensor in the refrigerator that controls the freezer temperature. If you set it high, the freezer temperature also goes up.
2. Check Ref.
① If doors are not closed properly, cool air will flow out and warm air will flow in, which may cause weak refrigeration.
② If there are too many items on the shelves or if they block the vent, air will not flow well and food may melt. And cool air around the shelves are weaker, so food like ice cream and minced garlic may melt easily.
Note: It is advised to place Ice Cream at the rear portion of the Freezer Section close the air vents for optimum freezing.
3. Check Food
① If it hasn’t been long enough since you put the food or if you put very hot food, it increases the temperature inside and may cause the freezer to become warm. If you open the door too often in the warm weather, it will increase the inner temperature and food may not be cool.
4. Check surrounding
① If it is exposed to direct sunlight or located near gas stove, refrigeration may be weakened.
②Under bad ventilation condition, refrigeration may be weakened.
③If the ambient temperature is too high, it might affect the refrigerator.
④It requires enough time to refrigerate for initial operation or after repair.
① If you don’t turn on the power, it won’t have cool air.
How to fix
1. Adjust Temp.
① Increase the Freezer Air Flow to maximum.
※ Location/Type Freezer Air Flow Setting may vary by model. Refer below illustration for your type
② If the Refrigerator temperature is set high, reduce it to Colder option.
※ Location/Type of Refrigerator Temperature setting method may vary by model. Refer below Illustration for your type.
Note : It is advised to follow the Temperature & Air Flow Setting Rule indicated on Label pasted (either on Freezer Door or on Left Side Freezer Cabinet)
This will ensure optimum cooling performance at all sections as per seasonal ambient condiitons

2. Check Ref.
① Refrain food items from being stuck, and shut the door tight.
② Organize the shelves and make sure not to block the vent. The front part of freezer is an air circulation path(vent). Be careful not to block with plastic bag or newspaper. Store food like ice cream and minced garlic near the vent.
Placement Utensils/Vessels near Air Vents
Refrigerator Section Freezer Section
3. Check Food
① Depending on the amount of food, different time period is required to refrigerate. Put things to be frozen at the rear of Freezer Section near air vents for faster freezing. Do not overstuff the Freezer so as to block air flow .If the ambient temperature is too high, refrain from opening doors too often.
Avoid Overstuffing Refrigerator Avoid Frequent door openings
4. Check product surrounding
① Look around the refrigerator. If Refrigerator is kept in direct contact with sun light/hot humid location then if may affect performance. Locate product is a proper shaded area to get optimum cooling/freezing performance and hence energy efficiency.
② Give some space around the refrigerator for good ventilation.
③ Ambient temperature must be between 5℃ ~ 35℃ for optimum performance levels.
④ If you turn on the power, it takes 1~2 hours for the cool air to circulate, but it may take 2~3days to have the optimal temperature depending on the amount of food stored.
① If the lamp doesn’t light as you open the door, unplug the power cord and plug in again. If it still doesn’t light, try to plug in other appliance and see if the outlet works properly. If the other appliance is also not turned on, the outlet has defect, so plug into another outlet. If the other appliance is turned on, then the product needs an inspection by service engineer.
