Is there any foreign substance on the door rubber gasket?
Cause and Symptoms
The rubber gasket on the refrigerator door features high caliber elasticity property for strong adherence.
However, any foreign substance, whether oily, greasy, sticky, dusty or food particles left on the rubber gasket no matter how small can hinder the seal’s elasticity and adherence properties.
Try this
Clean foreign materials off rubber gasket with a hot wet towel. If a part of the rubber gasket is detached, apply gradual heat with a hair dryer to straighten.
- When using a hair dryer, keep some distance from seal of about 2 or 3 inches.
