F-7 error code on a cooking range is attributed to an oven lack of heating issue.
- Should LG electric range be beeping alerting customer to some malfunction, seek error code.
- If the Control Panel Display lights up error code "F-7" it means unit is not heating!
- Have customer press the Clear/Off button to terminate the beeping alarm.
- Try to reset the unit by either unplugging the range or switching circuit breaker to "off" position.
- Advise customer to leave it "as is" for 3 to 5 minutes then re-plug or switch breaker back "on".
- Either the range has been reset and will operate normally moving forward or, if the "F-7" error code persists, a service technician will need be dispatched.
Accidental futility of error codes..
No question the introduction of electronic components in major appliances has allowed manufacturers to fine tune utilization of these devices and optimize their performance. On the other side of the coin, adverse effects of residual electricity inadvertently finding its way to any capacitor on a printed circuit board often results in producing a futile error code displayed in the control panel of the appliance. Resetting the appliance resolves these oddball issues. However should the error persist, then services of an authorized technician will be required as there is no obvious problem with the appliance.
F7 error code on a range pertains to a heating issue whereas oven temperature never gets to exceed 150°F for 5 minutes or longer in preheating mode while the door is closed. F7 error code can be a result of a faulty wire harness (short-circuit), defective heating elements or oven sensor. A qualified service technician will need to have a look, determine faulty part then replace or repair it.
