Cooking Issues – Very Uneven Defrosting
Cause and Symptoms
- If the unit came with a defrosting rack, was it used?
Try this
-
Refer to the owners’ manual to confirm whether the unit came with a defrost rack. If it did, it should be used.
This will allow the frozen item being thawed to be raised up enough, so the microwaves can penetrate from underneath the dish for even defrosting. If one did not come with it, it will be necessary to flip food over.
Place food in a shallow container or on a microwave roasting rack to catch drippings.
