Troubleshooting

TUB CLEAN CYC LE

Video tutorial explaining Tub Clean feature for the caring and maintenance of the washer drum to ensure optimal washing performance by removing film of grime accumulating on the surface of the stainless steel drum over time.

Some models will not feature the Tub Clean option on the Cycle Dial. Look for it as an Extra Function button identified with an asterisk (*) whereas you will need to press & hold the button for at least 3 seconds to activate. For example, model number WM1355H Tub Clean option is located with the WATER PLUS option button.

If there is lint build up on the tub or the tub smells moldy, use washing machine cleaners to clean the tub regularly.
You can maintain the tub clean all the time if you run the Tub Clean cycle once per month.
If you see ‘tcL’ flashing from the control panel, it means that it’s time for you to clean the tub.
Empty the unit and run the Tub Clean cycle.

→Clean Filter models (light blue, model no.: TR***) cannot select hot water for Tub Clean cycle.
If you want to clean the tub with hot water, select a cycle option from standard course to operate.
(E.g. Standard cycle + Temp. high, add Soak cycle + Water level 10, low spin speed)

How to prevent musty odor and build ups from the tub

 1) Leave the door/lid open after every cycle until the tub is completely dry.
 2) Use correct amount of detergents and fabric softeners as instructed by the manufacturers. Dilute concentrated softeners with water for use.
 3) You can maintain the washer clean by cleaning the tub regularly.(Preferably once a month)
 4) We do not recommend natural detergents (soap) as it does not get dissolved in water well and cause removed dirt to build up on the tub more easily.
 5) If the unit is installed in a damp and dark area or have not been in used for a long time, more dust can build up to the tub. If you haven’t cleaned the tub for more than 6 months, clean the tub 3 times in a row.
